Finally got around to watching this! It wasn't at all the Tarantino 3 ring circus I was expecting. Instead of raiding the toy cupboard he sticks ( mainly )to one Schtick - the WW2 Spaghetti Western. There are, this being Tarantino, massive nods to other films ( Dirty Dozen, Where Eagles Dare...any 60's war film ). Even the party tricks ( the funky font for Stiglitz for example ) are over and done with quickly.

It was just like watching Where Eagles Dare for grown ups!
