Folks,

My friend Andrew has gone missing in Vancouver. In addition to his work behind and in front of the camera, Andrew is a passionate advocate for human rights and a sustainable planet. There is more info on his father's website. I am hopeful that he's just taking some time off and will turn up soon.

I just visited the Wiki page. Didn't spot any vandalism.

Such a sad story.

See here with sadness.

Thanks for all your help. It is heartbreaking.

We had a lot in common. I'm just going to leave it there for now.

It seems beyond doubt now. I'm so sorry, Sludge, and for all of his family and other friends, and for him.

He seems to have been a totally great guy that I would have loved to have been, so if possible that makes it even sadder.

Sludge, if what they are going to announce is what they keep trying to post on the Wikipedia page, you have my deepest sympathy. Please convey my thoughts and prayers to his family.

Thanks everyone and especially Wildheartlivie! I just exchanged a note with Danielle about some other stuff, but also promising FWFRers will watch the wiki.

My first thought was of his amazing portrayal of The Joker in 'Batman: Dead End' a few years back.

It was then I looked him up on IMDb and was introduced to his other works.

As a fan of both father and son, I truly hope he turns up soon, safe and sound...

It is horrid, but keep in mind, this is the same atmosphere that led to the Janis Joplin page being protected because they had a 30 Rock episode where the characters were busy vandalizing her Wikipedia article and adding that she speedwalked everywhere and had a morbid fear of toilets. Classless bunch.
SixFourian Posted - 24/02/2010 : 23:24:25
That's just horrid what's wrong with people? It wasn't the case when I looked so thankfully it wasn't like that for long. I'll keep an eye on the page too.
w22dheartlivie Posted - 24/02/2010 : 23:13:46
Well, vandalization is relative. Mostly what I saw were the anonymous editors marking him as deceased. We don't do that unless it's confirmed. You wouldn't believe all the actors that anonymous editors have done that too. Name one high profile actor and that's happened.
SixFourian Posted - 24/02/2010 : 21:24:04
I read his Wikipedia page after posting above and it seemed normal did someone vandalise it after that? I found some comments on the I.M.D.B. to be rather moronic as well.

I posted it on Facebook, including on the pages of people I know from Vancouver. Sludge, do let us know if there's anything else we can do.

Quick aside note on the classiness of Koenig's family and friends. After I read this, I went over to Wikipedia to look at his article and ultimately (as usual) did some work to the article. Yesterday evening, someone popped a note on my talk page that said:

"Dear Wildhartlivie,

Though I know you're just doing a part of what every good Wikipedia editor does, I have been asked to thank you on behalf of Andrew's and Walter's friends & family for your efforts in un-vandalizing Andrew's page during these difficult times for them.

With much thanks, RobertMfromLI"

Wishing he is found, safe and sound, as soon as possible!
