FUCKING MERPS!!!

I just came up with a couple of cool reviews for this film, only to have them declined as "Not a film." I looked on IMDb, and lo and behold: it is listed! Funny thing, though, there's no other identifying information, except that it was purportedly Danish.

So I did a little poking around and found this:

Jesus porno film: This legend appears to have started with a 1977 news item in Modern People, a weekly magazine. It reported that some Europeans were planning to produce a porn film about Jesus. A later announcement in the magazine said that the film project had been terminated. In 1980 a legend spread across the U.S. that Modern People News was producing a film about the sex life of Jesus. The part of Mary Magdalene was going to be played by a famous prostitute from France. Jesus was going to be shown as either a bisexual or homosexual. No such film was ever produced.
Then I found this other debunking article.

No sex for Jesus. Fucking MERPs: why do you have to be so good?

Who knows though, it may rise again.

Give it three days ...

I asked my mate Thomas - he doesn't think it will.

You never call, you never write ... I MEAN IT!!!

Ha! I'd only just got a review approved for this 'film'.

Who knows though, it may rise again.

benj, this seems to have been kicking around here for quite some time. Is its continuing presence some sort of time-honoured exception to the rule about excluding non-movies? Unless Im missing something, I cant think of any other reason for it to be on the site. Not that Id regard that as a valid reason anyway. Its a 33-year-old idea for a movie by an outrageous Danish artist who died a decade ago. Non-movie? Its a non-entity.

So I assume its been acted on.

Why didn't they listen to you in the first place?! Probably sifting through that backlog or something. Good spot, lam! (Here's the link, ol pal, ol friend, ol buddy ol chum; just go to the bottom of the page.) (Something about wheels of justice turning slowly.)

...and he was supposed to love everybody equally, he really doesn't get any breaks.

I love it. It seems a fitting end to all the palaver that happened with Sal-Crac-thingy over my supposed duplicate review for that film. Glad to see the Gods -aka Merps- sweep the whole thing away. Got to feel sorry for Jesus though. He never got any.
MguyX Posted - 23/08/2010 : 07:58:47
I'll try, since now I can't even locate the film on the site.

Too bad your reviews weren't approved. It would have been so fitting to have passed them along to Alan Smithee.

Hey, MguyX - could you use your reviews for The da Vinci Code?
