Don't mean to hijack this thread... I hope bife knows he won. Thanks for the kind "welcome backs" (is that good grammar?), ChrisC and Mguyx. I am doing well and better. I started physical therapy last week and soon hope to be "Lean" again!   Although, at this time in my life if seems to take much longer than it used to.  |

For Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies fans, I give you Speedy Gonzales's cousin Slowpoke Rodriguez. After being banned in 1999 because these cartoons were "allegedly stereotyping Mexicans," they were re-released in 2002 because Hispanics fondly remembered them as being representative of their nation's individuality. Think about all of the other characters that the great cartoon houses depicted (e.g. Pep� Le Pew, the list goes on and on). Obviously, no race, class or stereotyping was off limits, nor is it yet off limits (e.g. South Park, The Simpsons, Family Guy, etc.). |
