Notelets: Nicolas Cage plays the title character in "Joe". In "'71" British squaddie Gary Hook has to survive a night alone in Belfast, where he is described by one local as little more than meat to his superiors. "The Maze Runner" is set in a future dystopia - the young protagonists are trapped in "the glade". In "Gone Girl" Nick Dunne is accused of murdering his wife Amy.
