I was so privileged to have worked with him on the hit Rock Follies TV series in 1977 - a dear, highly intelligent man and wonderful talent. He played a scary uber-nationalist club owner called Johnny Britten who became my boyfriend. Then he went on to star in Pennies From Heaven [later filmed with Steve Martin.]
