Lekolight graciously offered to count the votes this week, so I forwarded them to him. I shall be off to browbeat the review voting faerie into showing him some appreciation soon.
Oh, yes, I also voted. :)

We're two voters shy. They have been duly warned.
The current leader has only a two vote lead over third, so the two absent votes are critical.
Results, as they happen, when they happen.... and when I read them.

As a result of certain lurker votes, the results are certainly tighter.
We need to hear from our missing voters by 9:00pm FWFR time today.

It took until the last vote was cast to make a choice... but the choice is not a clear mandate (persondate?) This was by-and-far the strangest voting I've monitored. (But then it's been the only voting I monitored. But enough of these ramblings.... you want to know the results.
"We'll be right back with this week's totals..... but first a few words from our sponsor....."
OK, enough.....
In third place - sitting all alone with 7 pts (2,1,1,3)
Sbudgie
| | | | \ / .
| | | | \ / .
Second place needs a bit of explanation.... one of the two second placers actually had the most votes and undisputed claim for first place. However, due to the lack of a vote submission the three point penalty dropped shoon from 1st to a tie with lekolight for the runner-up slot...
shoon 9 (2,2,3,2,1,2 -3)
lekolight 9 (3,3,3)
So now to first place.... The Movie Haiku's Palm d'or of the week....
A Tie, a dead heat, co-winner's
| | | | \ / .
| | | | \ / . Each with 10 points fairly earned
Clearly in touch with the 5,7,5 of the Matrix
One, a first time Winner -
turrell71 10 (3,1,2,2,2)
The other get's his hat trick - win #3
Sludge 10 (3,3,1,3)
OK - turrell71 / Sludge - race to find a phone - call the Operator - and locate a door. Agent Smith is rounding the corner. Only your well crafted speaches will save the day.
May I ask that turrell makes the selection for the next movie as Sludge has had the honor twice before.
Congratulations all...

How do we decide a winner in the event of a tie? Last time round Duh declared sludge the winner over myself ( ) on the basis that he was the reigning champion. Fair enough.
But the reigning champion didn't enter this time and isn't involved in the tie.
So, four options:
We could set up a rule that the entry with the most 3's wins (ie the entry that more people picked as the winner), or
Do what I did last time there was a draw that I was officiating (forget which comp it was) - I MSN'd shoon, a non-participant, and asked him to send me some casting votes. Could do the same here - ask AC or benj or some other willing fourumite to cast a deciding vote ....
Let the reigning champion's vote be decisive
Let Duh's vote be decisive, as owner of the comp (could be difficult if she is one of the joint winners!)
It's Duh's competition, so I guess it is her call!
Edit: well done all, it was obviously a tough comp

I'm touched that you all liked my poetic musing on the architechts muse (I only ask that you visit my page and vote for evrything in sight - even the really bad puns). As it seems there is some debate about who should choose the next topic I shall wait until I hear one way or another.
Thanks again - did I mention I could use a bunch of votes?
