I called you "Mom"? My mother looked almost EXACTLY like Lucille Ball - red hair and all.

I don't think I like this site. First time: I'm apparently 72% similar to Theodore Kaczynski. Trust me I look like the UNABOMBER. Take 2: Sergei Prokofiev
I'm going to have to scan some earlier photos. |

I don't know how 'fun' this is, but I'm delighted with the results of my all-nighter of working on a video display page for a client.
NCHA video page
It isn't all tidied up yet but the elements are there. The trickiest part of the whole thing was finding a free script for online downloading of youtube videos. Sites that do that are springing up like toadstools so I don't know why the script is so hard to find. I finally found a site where the code was downloadable.
Then I got ideas for customizing it. The script is written in php, which I don't know much about and also uses javascript and ajax.
I figgered out, through hours of trial and error, how to convert the script so that the workings are hidden from view and the url of the video passed to the script transparently. |

I've seen this before, but I was worried that he was going to write it in yellow snow - may be the association with Sean... |

Well I've been up since 4.30am getting ready to head to the big smoke (and with the recent bushfires over here that term could mean anywhere in the state) to see the Test Match between Australia and England. Now that the Ashes have been recovered (don't get confused by the earlier mention of bushfires) I can settle back to watch Warnie weave his magic and achieve his 700th wicket.
(Apologies to my North American brethren to whom this must seem a load of gobbledegook.)
For the stout hearted men and women of the Commonwealth I set you a challenge - to crack the top 100 in the following cricket quiz. http://www.therealaustralia.com/

I got 6/10. Sorry, but Aus cricket history ain't my thing... BTW, did you notice that the top scorers are almost all Kiwis?
Enjoy the test.
I won't be watching any test today, something to do with NZ's next test match being in November...
Although I'm enjoying the early Christmas present given me by Warnie.
Edit: I had another go and got 9/10. Edit: I got 10/10 in 25 secs, 11,300,000, and way short of Top 100. So it's not a knowledge test, it's a speed clicking test. |

I hope the rain stays away.
To make the top 100 in that quiz, you need to get all 10 correct and in less that 20 secs. I got 10/10 in 28 secs and was still 3000pts short of top 10. |
