Teenage wasteland
NB:
The high school students in Linklater's "Dazed and Confused" smoke a lot of weed.
In "Flocking" a poor teenage girl in a small Swedish village is ostracised and tormented by the rest of the community after she accuses a boy from a well to do family of raping her.
Daisy is an obnoxious American teenager visiting her British cousins when WW3 is declared in "How I Live Now".
Memories of his troubled aunt affect all of Charlie's relationships in "The Perks of Being a Wallflower".
When things start to go sour one of the four partying girls in "Spring Breakers" goes home. |

Most of you got me on these already, so thank you.
Also thanks as always to Benj and Merps who are keeping up with submissions. I'm 2 away from 6K FWFR's! (will I turn a different color? will it hurt?)
I often contemplate the Coen Bros. decision to open The Big Lebowski by following a tumbleweed into Los Ang-eles. |
