I enjoyed doing the polling for the Golden Globes, so I thought I'd repeat it for the SAG Awards. Please either post your picks in the thread or send them to me via private message. Vote for categories where you have an opinion or are familiar (I know some of the TV nominations may not be relevant to everyone). Deadline is Sunday, January 28, 12 noon, fwfr time.

Edited: I didn't realize how that read. What I really meant was that whoever chooses the most correct winners (and I'll do it on a percentage of votes cast, not a straight number) will win a visit to their bottom page. Sorry guys, I've been sick the last two weeks!

As a Brit, my votes are based on a slightly limited selection of the options that I've seen.

But please don't vote on reviews of the "winner" that don't deserve it. Voting on every one of a page of 100 just on a promise devalues the point of voting. I'd rather have just 20 votes for reviews that you thought deserved it. Course, if you want to keep looking until you find 100, that's cool

I have not yet seen Bobby or Dreamgirls, but my basis for choosing Little Miss Sunshine over The Departed and especially Babel is that the cast is the best ensemble. In Babel, the main characters do not meet many of the other main characters, and The Departed only has a few main ones meeting the other main ones, and usually one to one. I am sure that one could judge this award by adding up the total acting quality (though L.M.S. would still be the best then), but this seems to me to miss the point. The best aspect of Little Miss Sunshine is that the group dynamic is done so well, while (ultimately, because) each character has got a well-defined individual relationship with each of the other characters.

Some guesswork here (haven't seen everything, but I'm always ready for a punt if there are free votes on offer). I agree with the point about 100 votes on one page - unless it were my top page, of course, where every review is deserving.

This sounds completely stupid of me, but I had no clue that this was a competition or that there was any prize. I didn't read the whole blurb - I just thought we were saying who we wanted to win!

I also don't want any gratuitous votes - enough of my reviews are genuinely voteworthy.

argh!!!!!!! Well, I'm really glad this isn't the SAGs then. Fortunately that hasn't been the case so far, and it's completely possible for someone to choose all the categories correctly, though I doubt it. Everyone has expressed a preference for all 5 of the film categories. I'm just trying to even the playing field for those who don't have access to have an opinion on the TV categories. Though I would predict that whoever wins will pick Forest Whitaker, Helen Mirren x2, and Jeremy Irons. I think what will be the crucial categories that have some variations in opinion. I think the best supporting actor/actress in a film categories are wide open, as is the ensemble film category.

Tell you what, once it's all over, let us know who took part and we'll all visit each others pages. That way it's still the fun of nominating our choices but without the potential for gripes about how fair the "winner" selecting criteria were.

Sounds fair to me. I've got the voters listed on the top posting, except for the two I got anonymously.
