"Hey Martha! That kid who played Pinto in Animal House is dressed all fruity and playin the piana!"

Amadeus (1984)

Abbreviated rules ....

The first line of a haiku poem has five syllables.
The second line has seven syllables.
The third, and final, line has five syllables.

The Movie Haiku Contest (MHC) is open to every member of the FWFR site. That means "you."

To enter, create a Haiku for the current movie, post into the current thread. Insert Tab A into slot B, glue, let set.

Haikus may be risque, but if you have to show us your colon, it's proabably a little over the top. Take the scope out of your ass: fer chrissake, there's kids in here.

Only one entry per person. Joe Blevins created that rule; something it seems people in democratic countries should know, but maybe some take that knowledge for granted. So thank Joe for defending Liberty. You may, however, edit your existing entry until 9pm Tuesday FWFR time.

Voting.

If you have entered the MHC, then you have to vote. It's required. If you enter but do not vote, strange things will happen to you for three days. You will have shortness of breath. Three of your car tires will fail. A witch on a broom will write a threatening message about you in the sky. Really: you don't want any of that.

And you will lose 3 points from your total.

You do not have to enter an MHC to vote. Vote away. It'll be just like a lurker vote!

For each round, you get to vote for your three favourite haikus. The voting is as follows:

3 pts fwfr a
2 pts fwfr b
1 pt fwfr c
--------------------------------

You may vote only once.
You may not vote for yourself.

You vote by sending me your votes in a PM (Private Message) HERE, to Me.

When the voting deadline ends (9pm Friday 30JUL FWFR time -- extended this week because I was unforgivably late in posting the film), the world will wait with expectation to hear YOUR NAME announced as the winner. Your mother will be proud.

Hear notes in Mo's art,
like beats here in mine. Too many?
Neither more nor less.

Great movie, great scene.

not his pianist envy
as Mozart pokes, fun

Notice/Remember: voting open until Friday (because I screwed up in not posting a film until late).

Salieri, stern.
Composer's composure lost,
Mozart decomposed.

2 voters missing; there's a tie so far, but will the missing votes break it or take us from bad to verse (or is that bad verse)?

Oh this is screw (as my Gallic friend says)!

We have a tie, still, and one voter outstanding (well, I mean, the voter is outstanding, yes, but I mean that the voter's vote is outstanding; not that it's an outstanding vote, or not an outstanding vote, but it's - oh, you get it!)

While I would gladly drop the axe and whittle away 3 points for this inhumane transgression, sadly, it would not affect our tie. So ...

The MguyX rule: in the event of a tie at the end of voting, sudden death (meaning the next vote, an absent voter [who can spare him/herself a 3 point penalty] or a lurker, decides the winner, if still tied, go to the next voter) -- only the next vote received counts!

Where was I?

The votes are in, cue music.

MguyX? Boy did you guys screw up! Thanks for your beautiful music this week. It was classic.

Now let's play something a little more contemporary.
