day 11 - a movie from your favourite actor

No single name springs immediately to mind, so I'm going to go for George Clooney and "The Men Who Stare at Goats.

Bedtime for Bonzo

Love the chimp, hate the Reagan. Crap actor, crappier politician. Great Communicator - pul-eeeeeze. The only thing he communicated to me was Ron, bubbele, you couldn't take up a nice profession like repairing shoes? Everyone needs a good cobbler!

Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw.

Most of you probably haven't heard of Marjoe Gortner, former child evangelist turned adult actor. He pretty much defined bad acting in the '70's. His performance in Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw was so bad it even made Lynda Carter's look good.

Oh well. His loss, not mine.

My favorite film starring anti-Semite, misogynist, and all around nasty human being Mel Gibson was Braveheart.

day 11 - a movie from your favourite actor - I'm going to go with Adam's Rib here, as I really loved the way Hepburn and Tracey worked together on this one.

day 12 - a movie from an actor you hate any film with Mel Gibson will do. Enough said! (But if I have to pick on in particular, how about Bird on a Wire - his own, original Aussie accent sounded fake in that one!)

day 13 - a movie that is a guilty pleasure - this is a difficult one. I think I'll go with 10 Things I Hate About You, for many reasons. Heath Ledger and David Kumholtz in particular.

Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones gets a bad reputation for its cheesy romantic scenes, its poor acting, and its even poorer dialogue, but I consider it to be a 21st century Ray Harryhausen film, and on that level, I think it works incredibly well.

Day 13 - A movie that is a guilty pleasure

Honestly, I just don't know how to answer this. I never feel guilty about stuff like this. If I like a film, then I like it, and I really don't give a stuff what anyone will think. Conversely, I'd never diss anyone else's choice. So there!

Carry On Up The Khyber. Arguably the best of the series. I know that's not saying much, but dig through any pile of crap and you turn up something good eventually. And I happen to like it.

day 14 - a movie that no one would expect you to love

Officer and a Gentleman. It's one of the few chick-flicks that I have watched and enjoyed.
