In "Force Majeure" a young family is put to the test by an avalanche during their ski-ing holiday. "A Pigeon Sat on a Branch..." is a blackly comic look at death. Aksel Hennie plays the lead in "Headhunters". One of the staff is a child abuser in a remote prison for young offenders in "The King of Devil's Island". In "Open Hearts" a doctor starts an affair with his crippled patient's girlfriend.
