The Maze Runners were directed by Wes Ball; minor spoiler for the second one.

Hopefully most people know the etymology of assassin.

A young protagonist mentions a female stereotype as one of his area's points of fame.

Hhmmm, in case not: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/assassin and the trained killer here is a stoner.

While I'm here, the Californian film is about a group of young guys.
