His being in Big Brother was mentioned in another thread, but I cannot now find it. I've now seen his entrance which I hadn't before. In his V.T., he describes himself as Britain's most famous director (he's obviously never heard of Richard Attenborough, for example) and when he mentions his three BAFTAs he holds up ten fingers!  Let's assume he was being ironic. I've liked what I've seen on him in the house. It's game for someone who's old enough to have been in the navy at the end of the War to go in there. |

On the one hand it's a shame he's left, but I'm glad he did, he didn't belong in a show like that, and that much was made clear when he described what he did for a living. Who on the show can compete with that? I'm not his biggest fan by any means, but in terms of a career, he has at least had one, for a start. In terms of what these people will leave behind them when they go, Russell will top the list. |
