I enjoyed doing the polling for the Golden Globes, so I thought I'd repeat it for the SAG Awards. Please either post your picks in the thread or send them to me via private message. Vote for categories where you have an opinion or are familiar (I know some of the TV nominations may not be relevant to everyone). Deadline is Sunday, January 28, 12 noon, fwfr time.

The person with the highest number of correct votes will win 100 votes on their lowest page!!

Edited: I didn't realize how that read. What I really meant was that whoever chooses the most correct winners (and I'll do it on a percentage of votes cast, not a straight number) will win a visit to their bottom page. Sorry guys, I've been sick the last two weeks!

I'm so humbled. My mother thanks you, my father thanks you, my agent thanks you. Sob.
I can only put this score down to my actor-y brain ... think like an actor, vote like an actor! Yuch!

You did it beautifully.

Now who can tell me where that's from?

Does this mean that I'm not in touch with the Screen Actors Guild or that the Screen Actors Guild isn't in touch with me?

The above is the only one that I have seen and didn't choose, so that's not too bad. It's an excellent performance, but I just slightly preferred Penelope Cruz in Volver.

I will visit the winner and spread the love first, then make the rounds to everyone. Maybe the winner will agree to let me post who it is. Feel free to spread some votes amongst yourselves!!

Just went back & checked my predictions ... wow, was I ever wrong! Well, maybe I'll do better predicting Oscar!

It's all been an interesting barometer for the Oscars. Although there is often the backdoor surprise, the SAGs seem to predict the acting awards to a high percentage. I do think Helen Mirren and Forest Whitaker are probable shoo-ins, as possibly is Jennifer Hudson. Eddie Murphy seems to be the current leader in the best supporting category. Oscar seems more inclined to favor lighter fare for the supporting roles. My own sentimental favorite is Forest Whitaker. I've watched him over the years and he's turned in some swell performances, including Bird and The Crying Game. Time will tell!

Thanks Salopian. I'm going to practice liberal viewing on everyone this week and pepper some votes.

Sounds fair to me. I've got the voters listed on the top posting, except for the two I got anonymously.

argh!!!!!!! Well, I'm really glad this isn't the SAGs then. Fortunately that hasn't been the case so far, and it's completely possible for someone to choose all the categories correctly, though I doubt it. Everyone has expressed a preference for all 5 of the film categories. I'm just trying to even the playing field for those who don't have access to have an opinion on the TV categories. Though I would predict that whoever wins will pick Forest Whitaker, Helen Mirren x2, and Jeremy Irons. I think what will be the crucial categories that have some variations in opinion. I think the best supporting actor/actress in a film categories are wide open, as is the ensemble film category.
