Posted - 08/03/2007 : 09:38:34 The film just got a spanking new re-release in the UK. If you'd like, you can read my suitably 'brief' Morning Star review.
[Actually - I'd written "vedy, vedy happy" but the sub-editor assumed it was a mistake and changed it to "very, very" -- but I think it still works, and I hope you like it.

Posted - 08/03/2007 : 12:24:18 Funnily enough I just watched this (for the first and last time) last night. Can't say I was too impressed. I didn't like any of the characters, they were too 'stiff-upper-lipped' for me to give a hoot what happened to them. I find their accents the most unpleasant accents on the planet. Gimme Mockney, Geordie or even Brummie!
Oh yeah, and Blief Encounter is a thousand times better. |

I recorded this movie off the TV many years ago. While it was probably controversial when it came out, it does seem a touch laughable today. No matter - still a good film.
