Now that you're not expecting much, you'll probably be pleasantly surprised. |

As I've already said, favourite film could in theory be objectively asked of the whole population. I've also already noted that this is impractical. Enjoyment in general is not something that can be measured, so it was that distinction, rather than size (or existence) of the sample that was the issue at hand.
So your theory is metaphysical?

E. None of the above.
Who makes the best egg salad? I'm scrambling for an answer to that one...
What is the best river? Kwai do you ask?
What is the best tree? Oh, that old chestnut!
What is the best ballet? You tell me which is the shortest and I'll tell you which is the best.
Who is the best hedgehog? Spiny Norman. Cruel but fair.
What is the best wheel? Wheel never agree about this one.
What is the best blue? Rhapsody In Blue
Who is the best whisperer? Pardon?
What is the best country lane? England, and don't call me lane!
What is the best cloud? The one with the silverest lining.
What is the best galaxy? The Milky Way. Well, OK, it's not much, but, hey, it's home.

See, there's the thing. There's a big difference between Best meaning "achievement in excellence" and Best meaning "personal favourite". I can't say that CK is my favourite movie to watch, but it certainly is excellent, and I enjoy it more because I appreciate what it achieved.
But to tell the truth, there are many films I enjoy watching more than I do CK.

  ! Now there's an opinion!
Albeit a shitty one.
I was waiting for it...
Perhaps it was a crappy comparison... |

That's OK. You have every right to be wrong if you want to.
