Today I have four random reasons to be cheerful:

1. Went to the doctor and got my ear unblocked (I can HEAR!!)
2. I got mortgage approval on my apartment (whoopee!)
3. Finished work for the holidays (yay!)
4. Got my 4,000th fwfr vote! (Well, you've got to measure your progress here somehow i guess!)

To mark these four occasions (which are really not at all that auspicious considering the season and all that), anyone to reply to this post in the next four days will receive a multiple of four votes from me (the multiple to be decided by myself).

I will also select four of your previously-unvoted-by-me reviews to spotlight to the rest of this four-word community, giving them the publicity they so desperately need to thrive in this cut-throat four-word-world, and possibly even earning them more voting action as a result!

So come on and post away people!
(p.s. I can hear.. I can HEAR!!!)

Not too late at all, although you had to wait until i sobered up enough to be able to read vote, which took a whle this christmas.. profoundly hungover today.

Aanyway, four of Chris C's underpublicised reviews for your delectation:

Asterix versus Caesar: 'Away Gauls in Europe'
The Three Amigos: 'El trio magnifico!'
S.W.A.T.: 'S.W.A.T.? more like C.R.A.P.!'
The Sound of Music: 'Problem like Maria, solved'

In the spirit of Christmas, I'm hoping you can forgive someone who is just a wee late. I didn't notice your post until today.

I'll return the favour soon Paddy. Congrats on 4,000 votes and your appartment.

I can think of a couple good reasons to celebrate myself, though my ears are okay, if you could get my eye to work right again, I'd come to Ireland and buy you a pint....

Meanwhile, enjoy your apartment, enjoy your holidays and Feliz Navidad!!!

I'm all for votes (being the VoteMonger), and I am getting newly approved votes by the pound tonight, so here I am....

Livie's Stuff

Well, i can give good ear advice, but eye can't help much with anything else! But rest assured, votemongering at christmas time doesn't affect your position on the good kid/naughty kid lists.. it's like a wartime truce to play football and that..!!

Hadn't visite your stuff before livie, but remedied that, and here's four i liked:

To Kill a Mockingbird: 'Atticus shoots dog, bigotry'
A few Good Men: 'Jack decides guantanamo realities'
Gone with the wind: 'Scarlett pursues wimpy husbands'
Friday the 13th: 'Bad day, camp crystal'

Welcome back PC. By all means smite me with your four pronged voting stick. My reviews, unvoted.

So, if you were deaf in one ear, did that mean you kept walking around in circles, that kind of thing? Isn't it weird that our ears control our balance? Glad to hear you're on the mend....

If you leave the blocked ear for a while you can get middle ear infections, which mean your balance is all out of whack.. funny for other people, cos you just suddenly fall over all the time in a very Monty Python kind of way, but not much fun for the infected one!! Luckily mine didn't get that far this time, but I did need to turn my head so the 'good' ear faced the person talking, which was a little weird!

Four of Demonic's reviews for your consideration:

The Crying Game: 'Crouching Forest, Hidden Penis'
Fight Club: 'Half good, half Brad'
Saving Private Ryan: 'Tom Hanks bombs tanks'
Eating Raoul: 'Seor-eater'

PS Just visited your top 100 reviews - I'd missed a few beauties there but rectified the oversight.

Thanks for the hammering Conan! Agus go n'eiri an bothair leatsa! (don't worry, that's just the irish version of what you said!)

Four of Conan's which you might want to visit:

Little Miss Sunshine: 'Hoovers. Damn'
Tequila Sunrise: 'Gibson's spa-ing with Pfeiffer'
Good Night and Good Luck: 'Pinko journalist gets gas' (harsh!! )
United 93: 'Terrorists don't visit president'

I am happy four you, Paddy C.

Now you can hear Feliz Navidad ad nauseum for the next four days.

The irish for Feliz Navidad is 'nollaig shona dhuit' (pronounced 'nullig hunna gwit').. it's more likely to be heard ad nauseam round these parts as the pubs get drunker and we start remembering the native tongue again!

Four of Lemmy's for the spotlight:
Downfall: 'Kampf fire'
Invasion of the Bee Girls: 'These honeys bee dangerous'
Les Hauts de Hurlevent: 'Carrere 'heights''
The Snapper: 'Conception creates Curley consternation'

And a special commendation for the Shaft review for getting the word 'defenestration' in!
Paddy C Posted - 12/24/2006 : 13:55:46
Right, looks like I've got a bit of a pre-pub project for christmas eve!

Will hit all posters in sequence today.. just going to grapple with my hangover first!!

Thanks to all for the hammerings so far! Ho ho ho!!
