Anyone notice the new Google homepage customizables? Far too many vital, adorable, useful add-ons to enumerate, but do check it out ... you may never want to leave your Google HomePage again ... EXCEPT TO COME TO FWFR OF COURSE

Well, I'm liking it better but I still have so many links on My Yahoo! page that I doubt I'll change over for good.

I also can't seem to get more than one comic and the one they show you have to scroll to see it all. I haven't figured out if you can change the width of the columns to fix this.

Also, their colours are the only colours you can get, and a white background makes reading difficult for me (dyslexics find it easier to read on a slightly coloured background).

I'm also not pleased with the news they give you.

(I don't use the Yahoo toolbar so that's one less problem.)

Well, it sort of does ... you can customizethe logo to default to a past gem, or choose a random logo generator. Don't forget this feature is about choice. But, hey, no one's forcing you to use it

Hm... you can change where the items are by dragging them around the page. That's not too bad. You can even move them to a new tab, after you've made a new tab, by just dragging. Not too shabby. Still, with all the links I have on my Yahoo page, I doubt I'll change over to this.

How fun! I selected the pony that needs frequent grooming.

Oh, I didn't see that I could add Wikipedia and dictionary.com - am totally sorted now.

Ooooh... you can write your own 'Google gadget' (e.g. fwfr today's top reviews) and submit it for inclusion

When I log on every day I need to log in to my Advanced Google facility with customized homepage. Is that what you two do?

What I've personally got against Yahoo! is the way it does a very sneaky intrustion into lotsa nooks and crannies of your registry which can [not always, but often] interfere with some other programs. There are also well-documented incidents of the Yahoo! toolbar allowing some non-destructive but very annoying spyware. Just a thought.

Yup, Yahoo! isn't the best, especially with its dodgy helping-the-Chinese-regime etc. I already had Google as my homepage, but just the plain one. The next time I opened a new window, lo and behold, there was the advanced page that I had not set it to. I have gone along with it now (now that I have got rid of the horoscopes), but I still felt a bit steamrolled.

Hm... you're right. And you can't move stuff around the page to get it to be just the way you want it. Nyah - not for me.

It's okay, but I perfer my Yahoo! homepage. I've got so many bookmarks there I'd hate to try to transfer them over just to get a tiny copy of Bejewled on the page.

Thanks for that.

Do they pay you in cash or just in vouchers?
