Well, now that my home computer has been reformatted and is now purring like a contented tigress, I have to reinstall a whole bunch of programs. While I balked at my kids putting back the ICQ, I have decided that as long as they don't share files over the ICQ then it's okay (same with Instant Messenger).

Still, we missed recording the first two episodes of season 6 of Gilmore Girls when it was running on Hallmark here, and we don't want to watch the other episodes until we've seen those (anal, I know, but still...). Of course, its been a very long time since they aired and we don't feel like we're cheating anyone if we download a missing episode here or there. Our problem is, which P2P program should we use?

We used Kazaa until we were attacked by viruses we couldn't clean off and had to put our computer into the shop (not this time). Then we used eMule until this last attack put our computer into the shop this time.

So... anyone on this forum have any ideas what we should use this time?

Thanks in advance.

A better anti-virus utility, and an anti-spyware utility, too (usually when you have "viruses that won't go away" they're actually spyware, not viruses). That way you can stop going to "the shop," which is ripping you off by taking your hard-earned money for running those utilities that you could easily install yourself. Try Grisoft AVG Free for viruses, and adaware for the spyware. They're both completely free for a personal home computer, and far more reliable than the commercial products.
