I have officially sold out and despite my moral and civil objections, am appearing on MTV.

The TV show is "Yo Momma". I'm not sure if everyone here has seen it, but it is quite the mental exercise, a battle of wits and hyperbolic smackdowns. It will air sometime in late march or April, not sure when yet because the episode order has not been determined.

While other fwfr's have media feats that make mine pale in comparison, I still thought it might be worth mentioning.

Sort of. It's much faster paced, and instead of freestyle rhymes, straight insults are preferred.

I know for sure that The Osbournes, Pimp my Ride, Punk'd and Jackass all appear or have appeared, on MTV in the UK. I have a suspicion, without going and checking the schedules, that Supersweet 16 and Laguna Beach have been on the air at some point in the recent past. As for the rest of them, I neither know or particularly care.

If Mr Stupid gives us some more clues about what goes on, I will keep an eye open for the episode of Yo Momma he's in and see if I can spot him.

The only one of those false reality shows I've heard of (as it's on in NZ) is the Osbournes. And no, I've never watched it.

I hate TV, and don't watch it. Hence I watch a lot of movies.

When I die and go to hell as punishment for listening to too much black metal, I'll be strapped into a rotating chair in the middle of a small square room with my eyes taped open, and a TV on each of the four walls. On one will be soaps, on another will be reality shows, and on the other two will be nothing but ads. ...

On the other hand perhaps I'll just go turn the TV on now... hell on earth...

GH is right. As far as I know, the MTV we get doesn't have anything BUT music and music related news shows on it.

This is shocking. Even in middle school, people have joked about how the only music related show that doesn't come on aftter midnight is TRL. TRL is barely a music show, as there are more commercials than videos. For a school report I once timed every show in a week and the hosts spend more time talking about tomorrow's show than playing music videos (although it was close, and on two of 5 days videos' time did win).

Also, not including TRl or post 3 AM programming, MTV plays only about 4 different shows a day, but the same episode from these show 4 or 5 times each day.

Do any of these false reality shows aire in Europe?:

Laguna Beach
Maui Fever
Yo Momma
Two-a-days
Bam's Unholy Union
Viva la Bam
Wrestling Society X
Next
Parental Control
Road Rules
Real World
The Osbournes
Newlyweds
The Ashlee Simpson Show
Made
My Super Sweet 16
Pimp my ride
rob and big
Punk'd
Jackass
I bet you will
Exposed

I've never seen most of these, but unfortuanately MTV dominates high school and college life, and so i have to put up with people talking about them. In fact, the only three shows i've seen a complete episode of are Jackass, Viva la bam, and Yo Momma.

While it may seem like MTV has a vast array of programs, keep in mind most are only a season and MTV uses the blasting technique of cramming a the exact same show's re-run 25 times in a week.

In the US there is no major music channel, as VH1 is also celeb-reality( ugh, the worst type) and MTV 2 is rejected mtv shows, although there are occasional music shows. There's an underground music channel called FUSE that almost always has music, but it's not available in most areas.

While it may seem that I am exaggerating, I assure you that I am not and any american forum member can vouch for me.

Is that the show with Wilmer Valderrama?

Yes it is. I am a contestant.

I'm impressed that other countries do not have MTV. Perhaps this is why the public schools are better than the US counterparts.

Are you kidding? MTV is all over Europe. Its just that their programming is geared more toward music and less toward "reality" TV, etc.

I never heard of the show either, but it sounds funny. Be sure to tell us when you're on. (I assume you were a contestant ... ?)

Hey Mr Stupid! Long time no see read. Good to see you're still alive and well.

Never heard of that show you're talking about, and not sure if it'll ever make it to lil' ol' NZ. But will keep my eye out for it.
