I hope I don't really have to warn anyone that a thread discussing a serial drama is going to be loaded with spoilers. I also hope it's not considered to tacky to discuss television shows on a movie website. Finally, I hope people are actually interested in talking about this show.

Anyhoo...is it just me, or did last night's episode take a very disturbing turn towards the melodramatic?

So what does the other town do with those 10 "workers" if the food from the harvest never arrives? Do they keep them as hostages, which would mean they'd have to be fed in the meantime?

Most, Downtown, not all.

Unfortunately (for the producers of the show), me and Mrs C watched the first episode and a bit when it started here in the UK and thought "why are we bothering?" I know that the first episode is supposed to set us up for the rest of the series, but there is a maximum number of cliches I can take in one hour before screaming at the TV and Jericho went waaaay past it.

There's other US TV series showing now in the UK much better than this.

Episode 16.

It was just frustrating that the most interesting part of the story - the deal - got the least air time.

I'd say we got to between episode 8 to 12, then it disappeared. I missed a couple of the later episodes because I was out of town. It's one of those shows that started off with you wanting to know what the hell is going on - how long do they keep that up?

It's a small farming community in the middle of Kansas, which is effectively cut off now with the loss of communications. Everyone in the show is still wondering "what the hell is going on," so the audience is wondering, too.

I would think a show about Americans getting nuked would be more popular around the rest of the world right now!

There was a hiatus over here for approximately 6 weeks. If there is a delay between our schedule and yours, it may be making a reappearance soon over there.

YES! A lot of deaths, too, for such a short-lived new series. I really thought the death that was 'teasered' all week was going to be the mismatched other half of the Skeet Ulrich character's love interest (Heather not Emily). The writers haven't given enough screen interaction between them for me to feel one way or the other about them as a couple.

This show was on in Australia - and then just disappeared into the ether! What episode number are you talking about above?
