I always thought the greatest film of all time was Hank, the Angry, Drunken Dwarf. (If you haven't heard of him, read from the third paragraph onward).

I typed this in before checking, and interestingly, he is listed as such on IMDB.

Ali's question inspired even more discussion on Roger Ebert's website this week.

I ran across this news story tonight about the At The Movies website. I didn't know he couldn't speak right now.

Too cool. GHCool, nice spot!

Thanks. He is a true gent, and I have been corresponding with him for about seven years now. He's a good man.

Nice one, Ali!
And nice spot by GHcool too!

Ebert is such a gent. If you haven't already read his "Book of Film" you've got a treat in store. When I was London Ed of Film Journal International we eMailed many times about the finer points of film-making. I usually agree with him, and even when I don't he's always worth heeding. I think it's his total respect for both readers and practitioners that makes him so special.
