Merv Griffin died today of prostate cancer. Besides creating the game shows Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, Griffin was a singer, talk show host (with sidekick Arthur Treacher announcing "and now, here's the dear boy himself, Muhhhvvin"). My mom loved that show.

Merv, lost on Jeopardy
