As a professional proofreader and a freelance writer/proofreader/editor, I have a rather serious concern that I would like the group's help with:
Are we fwiffers or foofers??????????????
I suppose fwoofers would be acceptable, too. For that matter, just shoot the works, and give me your own personal take on the un-acronym.
Your help with this useless piece of fluff is greatly appreciated!

| I pronounce FWFR "fwiffer," because that's what it looks like to me. But "FWFRers," or "fwifferers," sounds clunky. So I consider myself a fwiffer. |

I didn't even mention: I've always seen it as "foofer." Something about the "fw" combo in "fwiffer" that corrupts the lips . . . and not in a good way!

Fwiffer is a review. Fwifferer is somebody who writes one. |
