CDs soundtracks
Donation to the Darfur victims in my honor
DVDs Cinema Paradiso (Limited Collectors Edition), Saturday Night Live The Complete First Season, The Art of Buster Keaton (box set)
Magazine subscription CAMERA, Editors Guild, ACE
Netflix subscription
Nintendo DS + games
Pair of pants

I would ask for the soundtrack for Les Choristes (The Chorus).

I'd be happy with almost anything. As some of you know, I'm a video editor and so I often need instrumental music to go in the background of the videos I edit. I have a lot of classical music CDs and so I lay down Brahms or Bach when its appropriate, but sometimes I need something with a more modern sensibility. Film soundtracks are great for this because they are instrumental (no vocals) and there are often many different kinds of "moods" on one CD corresponding to different parts of the film (suspense, romance, etc), plus the music was specifically composed for use in a film/video.

But to answer Sean's question, I like anything by John Williams or Danny Elfman, but sometimes their stuff is too "epic" for every day use. Composers like Thomas Newman (Scent of a Woman, The Shawshank Redemption) and Randy Newman (Pleasantville, Monsters Inc) are usually more low key and still beautiful and evoke the right kind of moods for many situations.
