Mae West
Marilyn Monroe
In fact, I once had to re-voice a Cockney actress who was starring in a film about a woman who was a Monroe lookalike. She was onscreen in nearly every scene, and it was bizarre to see this dead ringer for the blonde icon, because when she opened her mouth it was Barbara Windsor!! But between the dubbing editor and myself we concocted a passable imitation. But I often wondered hey - what if someone sees this flick and tracks her down thinking they're going to get a Monroe clone ... and then she starts to talk!

Can also do
Thatcher
The Queen
Marlon Brando

Why are you asking Airbolt? You're not casting, are you?

I can only ever do barely passable impressions if I copy an exact line. So I can barely passably do a line or two from Zed and Maynard in Pulp Fiction (the Gimp dungeon killers) and Ving Rhames' monologue to Zed (the "medieval on yo' ass" bit).

But overall, I'm a bit crap at it, unless I'm doing an exact line by line copy.

My masterwork is without a doubt a rather fine Kermit the Frog.

In fact many of the Muppets seem to come easily, probably because I watched it so religiously as a kid. Thanks to the great Frank Oz I also have fun starting a sentence as Miss Piggy and turning into Yoda half way through.

I do a great impersonation of Buster Merryfield saying "During the war..." and I've also been complimented on my Benny The Ball saying "Hey TC, here comes Officer Dibble".

I am pretty good with voices and can do a lot upon hearing them. Accents strangely I am less good at unless I am doing a specific person - for example if I need a British accent I just recall the speech where Charles Spencer said that it was ironic that Diana, known in Greek mythology as the great huntress, was herself the most hunted woman of her time. Then I can do a high falutin' posh British accent.

I also do our governor - better known as the terminator. Jerry Seinfeld, Larry David, Ralph Fiennes (Schindler's list - this is also my essential German accent influence - his speech on "I pardon you") George Bush (who doesn't - "Strategery"), Jack Nicholson, Michael Richards (non-racist only) and others.

Of course this is kind of like displaying artwork on a radio show.

I think I can do quite a few and reasonably well, especially wholesale quotes from my favorite films.

The general concensus is that I'm wrong

It was a more innocent world in those Days!

I'm fairly sure there was snooker on the radio for a while which is only marginally less surreal.

He He , I wish! I'm sure that a four-hander involving Monroe, Thatcher , The Queen and Brando , possibly in the Queen Vic, would get Greenlit! Possibly Mae West walks in and Barbara Windsor swops innuendo laden puns with her. Then Sid James walks in ( through the magic of CGI ) and all sorts of hilarious hi-jinx ensue...hang on , the phones ringing ....it must be Hollywood ( or possibly Pinewood )
