Hi
I know we have some good programmers onsite, and I'm hoping you can help. I'm trying to allow a text file upload into one of my designated server folders directly from a website - possibly with file size restriction. I'd like this not to involve ftp. Files would be either .txt or .doc format.

Is there some non-geeky code you can share with me ... my server allows MySQL and php, but I don't have a clue how to coordinate that with my desired end result. I can, however, build a form - either using Flash or the standard form command thingy ... the one that involves Method=get or post. OK, you know what I mean.

Here's what I'd like:
Punter accesses webpage.
Punter sees form with various fields to fill in, name, title of doc, blah blah. And one of the fields produces the Browse dialog box more commonly used to upload pix. Clicking that option opens the Punter's local directory.
Punter selects file to upload.
Punter clicks upload button.
Presumably I, then, receive the file into some pre-designated bespoke folder on my server.

Does anyone have a template for this I could copy?

Zillions of thanks in advance [I might be able to pay you in votes ]

Many thanks, duh ... at first glance I'm not sure what the correct terminology is to search for, but I'll explore properly and see what's on offer.

That was very kind of you.
