Reached 95 accepted reviews a few mins ago. Won’t be long now, other things being equal, before I swap my mortarboard for what I assume is a beret by reaching 100. This has taken me a mere 9 months or so, like a gestation period. Would have taken me even longer but I’ve had more spare time than usual over the last couple of weeks, a lot of which I’ve spent daydreaming in front of my computer screen at home. Hence the floating chair icon. How some contributors to this site produce such vast numbers of reviews I can’t imagine. (Do you ever leave the house?) There are some smart people around here.
So, anyway, I just wanted to thank benj in particular & everyone else in general for this site -- entertaining, time-consuming & potentially addictive. Also, thanks again to bife, who ‘introduced’ me on the fourum 6 or 7 months ago, resulting, encouragingly, in a sudden & singular flurry of votes at the time.
Beginning to sound like an Oscar-acceptance speech. I’ll shut up & go & do something useful.

Have returned, and highly recommend visiting! My personal favorite is the Taxi Driver review. Classic stuff! |

Wish I had time to think of & think up reviews at work, thefoxboy. The concept of having spare time during the working day expired in the UK during the 90s…
But I suppose I’m not just v prolific generally. And besides, my standards have risen since I’ve been contributing. (Well, in my eyes they have anyway.)
Still 5 reviews short of a beret but I look forward to getting that soon, & then swapping it for a cigar sometime in 2008.
