Reading Joe's accounts of seeing The Dark Knight being filmed in his neighbourhood (and a few others chipped in their cent worth)gotta me a thinkin'...
Who else has had a similar off set experiences?
in work now myself but will relate about Blow Up and Da at a later stage.

I went on set for Austin Powers 2. It was nice...Mike was nice and funny. I got Seth Green's autograph *swoon*
I was an extra on the movie 'Mickey'. It was filming in our town. They wanted the Little League Field to be actual. I got to see Harry Connick Jr. from afar but never got his autograph.
Not sure it qualifies as a 'movie set', but I was on Tiswas when I was 10. I even got to throw a flan at the Phantom Flan Flinger (although I missed )
And anybody who understands that is showing both their nationality and their age.
I wore my Dutch football top on the show - looks like my destiny was decided young That is, marrying a Dutch girl, moving to Holland, and having three 'mostly dutch' kids, rather than growing up to be a professional football player
I'm an extra in the stunningly awful Seventies movie PLAYERS. We filled up one side of Centre Court at Wimbledon just after the championships to cheer on a fake tennis match between Dean Paul Martin [who was a pretty good player] and Ilie Nastase. They'd stop and change the scoreboard every so often; they only wanted specific points. The first AD, probably an American, kept calling it "Wimbleton" through a megaphone.
