I had a version of this arriving into work this morning except i didn't die and it was caused by wearing a heavy coat when the day was deceptively warm.

But you know, at one time I thought that I was getting some of those symptoms myself.

(It ended up being something to do with my turning 50.)

You could also get it by

drinking excessively

getting little sleep

not eating

and then trying to function as if you hadn't done any of the above.
