Someone is very likely to be working on it at this very moment. By the by, I like to eat my baked beans with potato chips. Anyone else have this odd and annoying habit? |

Onion used to be my favorite. Now I prefer Country Style. Thicker and richer sauce. Yum!

Houmous - or hummus -- I make my own ... yum!!! Easy-peasy. Here's how:
INGREDIENTS Well, you can boil your own chick peas, but they come already cooked so take one tin/or one can.
Generous blob of tahini - either light or dark, either is delicious
Juice of one large lemon
Ground rock salt & whole pepper grains
As much pulped garlic as you can bear
Olive oil if you like a smoother version, or without for a chunkier drier version
METHOD Chuck all the ingredients in a sturdy food processor and blitz on full power until the hummus is the consistency you like. That's it.
Scrape the mixture into an air-tight container and store in the fridge. Keeps for weeks. Great on wholemeal toast or oatcakes, or in pitta pockets. Or, make some couscous, add a few cooked veg and spoon some hummus into it. Mix up -- a great side dish, or main course for lunch.

Well, of course! And, of double course, everything's non-GM & organic
