I win today because I thought my computer was toast, or at least needed a new modem. After about 5 hours of tearing my hair out, my computer tech guy was in and introduced me to the commands:
Start --> Run --> CMD
netsh winsock reset
And my computer was just like new!!!
I WIN!!! |

How spooky weird ... one of the tekkie-geek forums on which I lurk and sometimes post and which has been trying to help me solve my browser-hanging thing ... one of the senior geeks suggested that, too. Not as a cure, but as a bonus.
I can't say the browser issue is solved, but something's certainly seemed to have had a good old shake. Hmmm -- things that Microsoft's Knowledge Base doesn't tell you!!!
Hope you puter's behaving whl!
