Has anyone else seen this???

Before the movie 'Transformers' there was a trailer for a movie but it didnt even have a name.

The trailer opens up and starts out with the 'Bad Robot' logo ('Lost' TV Producers). Next we are at a party with High school students, from New York, that just graduated and one of the guys is going off to college. The whole trailer is shot by an hand held video camera. Its hard to see things at some points cause the camera is running around following the students. Next there is a big rumble like an earthquake and the power goes out. Stusents joke to the guy thats leaving that maybe he should have leaft earlier. The camera follows the students outside. The head of the Statue of Liberty rolls down the street and there is a huge monster sound. And then it goes black. The green screen is shown for a few seconds. Nowhere on the screen does it have the name of the movie. No announcer, no nothing.

I didnt even know that they could do this with a movie that hasnt even been named yet. I went searching for information. So i typed in 'Bad Robot' and found an unNamed film to be released in 2008. It says 'Untitled J.J. Abrams Project'. There are rumors on the board that suggest it could be a new Godzilla Movie.

But heres the thing. When the monster lets out its roar it sounds like that Monster from the TV Show 'Lost'. It has the same sound and roar. So could this be an explanation of the monster from 'Lost'? (J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot Produce 'Lost') Or is this just another Godzilla Movie? Has anyone else seen this? WHat do you all think? ill see if I can find the trailer anywere else.

Yeah I saw that trailer before Transformers too and it looked kind of interesting. I didn't realize it was supposed to be a monster movie. I thought it was an asteroids crashing into Earth movie. The trailer is very effective and the transition from the party sequence to the mayham using a hand-held camera brought back memories of 9/11 (I'm sure the filmmakers did that intentionally).

Also, what does everybody think about the new Invasion of the Body Snatchers movie starring Nicole Kidman? I wasn't a huge fan of the Kevin McCarthy version, but the Nicole Kidman version looks mildly interesting.

I could have sworn I saw the title when the credits flashed at the very end of the trailer. Didn't it say "Bad Robot?"

The film's not called Bad Robot; that's the name of JJ Abrams's production company. The working title/code name of the film is Cloverfield, and the most recent rumour is that it might have something to do with The Old Ones from the Cthulhu Mythos.

AICN covered the film two weeks ago, and you can read about it here and here.

I'm feeling really old, because as cool as it sounds, I just do not have the time to sit and search various web sites and message boards for clues (the whole 'viral marketing' gimmick).

In fact, I haven't seen "Lost" since the first season, because it was sucking up too much of my time getting caught up in the "what about the..." speculation that was going on.

Given that the guy in the trailer is advertising a Japanese beverage called Slusho, it appears the site http://www.slusho.jp/ is connected to the site.

Read the bizarre "History" page. Clearly, this ain't a real Japanese site.
