I believe the prefix Fitz means "bastard" doesn't it?
How appropriate!

You're quite welcome. He um, erm, piss annoyed me to no end, and continues to do so. |

The illegitimate son of royalty/aristocracy, yep.
I was certain you were going to refer us to a definition of Fitz on Wikipedia... Wiki-Fitz
I prefer the entry for Wiki-Fitzgerald, which turns out to be an intensely competitive Viking sport in which competitors have to stand on one leg during their brutal head-to-head contests. |

He does sound like a less-than-pleasant chap. Although in his defense, I'm aware that regular Wiki editors do get somewhat annoyed with requests to explain their edits. After all, there's not much to say other than "Because I thought the page was better off the way I did it" and if someone disagrees they can undo the edit, or re-write it their way.
I have no idea why he'd do major editing on a page about a site that he doesn't use though.
Seems like lots of wikinerds like to think of themselves as authorities on everything. When confronted, they often bitch about the tilde signature thing when at a loss for any thoughts of substance. |

| I have got a comment to add to that talk page. How does one do it? Does one edit the page in the same fashion as a normal Wikipedia page? What is the talk about tildes about? |

Yep, just click on 'edit' to add comments. To 'sign' comments, type ~~~~ but that works best if you have registered and logged in. |

Thanks. I've added this comment:
I am rather puzzled that John FitzGerald is so bothered about correct capitalisation (which he rather bizarrely calls 'spelling') of usernames, when in his dismissive editing notes talking about 'puffery' etc. he refers to noncentz as 'Noncentz'. The first instance of that username had to be capitalised as it was a header, but in the immediately subsequent text it was consistently, rightly and clearly presented as lower case. |

Except Saturday, because that's when we all go out and get drunk.

Never before have I seen an online conversation that qute characterises the unstoppable force hitting the immovable object as Sal's and this bastard fella's. It's also a bit like the word tennis in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. |

It's like watching a duel to the death of two combatants armed with Q-tips.
