I get a newsletter from Fender guitar occasionally, since I sometimes fancy that I can play. Well, I CAN play a couple things, and once upon a time, I bought a Fender Stratocaster. In any event, I received a newsletter this evening, promoting the 2007 Crossroads Guitar Festival featuring Eric Clapton and friends. In conjunction with this festival, Fender is selling 100 special edition Stratocasters (50 of them with a '57 Crossroads Twin-Amp). They come with a package of extras, apparently chosen by Clapton. The guitars are numbered and signed. All profits go to Crossroads Antiqua.

Guitars and package are $20,000. Guitars, amps and package are $30,000.

Don't tell my oldest son!

(What's scary is that he could probably afford it some day.)
