My avatar reminds me of a little anecdote about the differences between temperaments of each of the great apes:
If you give a psychological puzzle to a chimpanzee, she'll try and try and try to solve it until she goes crazy.
If you give a psycholgical puzzle to a gorilla, she'll try it once and if it doesn't work, she'll bash it to bits.
If you give a pschological puzzle to an orangutan, she'll sit and study it for three days and then work it right the first time.

I don't know if this story really tells us much about our closest cousins, but it does say a lot about people we know, doesn't it? I used to think that I was like the third, but now I think I'm more like the first.  |
