I had (what I thought was) a great addition for Ebert's "Movie Glossery," but I don't think they accepted it. I can't imagine why, one guy has written half the entries in there and most of them aren't very funny.
The Combination Rule (or "Bad meets Worse"): No movie that's been advertised as being a combination of two or more other movies ("critics say it's 'The Godfather' meets 'Happy Gilmore'!") has ever been any good.

Great Rule... ditto holds true for any movie that a critic describes as being "like X on [insert controlled substance of choice]", e.g. "Passenger 57 is like Die Hard on speed"...you know you're in for some serious cinematic pooh.
