This one got a couple festival appearances, then I believe it only screened in NY and LA before heading off to video. There are inside jokes for peeps on both coasts, but general audiences can enjoy it too.

It's a satire of the television business: David Duchovny has created a script for a pilot which the network loves, but they just have a couple of notes...

Everybody is handed their hats: the "creatives," the suits, the actors, the advertisers [Ms. Randall is in media research in NYC and she says they got the "up-fronts" exactly right], even the dumbass viewers who make up focus groups.

It's not perfect -- for one thing, the fictional show's supposed to be a comedy, but it's not funny in the slightest -- but there are many, many gems of moments. Wholeheartedly worth the rental.
