For those of you who sent me good wishes, I just wanted to let you all know what's up.
My husband (his name is Alon) has had some postrate problems in the past, but it was being treated with medication and things were going well. That was, until the New Israeli Opera decided to take the Zeffirelli production of Pagliacci to Moscow, with my Alon singing in the choir. The flight to Moscow was okay, but unfortunately, the bus taking the group got stuck in traffic and it took them four hours to get to the hotel. By that time, poor Alon was in pain and unable to... er... go.
Alon soon found out something about Russian hospitals. Aside from their lack of hygene, they apparently don't have enough medical supplies. For instance, they don't have any mobile catheter bags they can give out.
Anyway, three days in Moscow and three catheterizations later (each time going to the hospital by ambulance, having it put in, drained and then taken out), he was put on a plane back to Israel, where we took him directly to the hospital. I'm sure you guys can imagine how uncomfortable it was by then - he had gone over 13 hours without peeing!
Thankfully, he's home now, with the catheter still in (Israel may be in the Middle East, but at least we have enough mobile catheter bags to give them out when needed), but it looks like on Sunday they'll be trying one last time to remove the catheter to see if he can go without it. If not, they will have to operate.
I'm not worried about the operation. Firstly, both his father and his younger brother had it done, and with Alon's history, we didn't think he'd be able to avoid it. It's not a difficult proceedure, and the recovery is pretty quick. And afterwards he'll have a much better quality of life*. So, everything will be okay and thanks for all of your concerns and support.
(*As will I - in more ways than one!)

| The trip to Russia sounds like a nightmare, but I'm glad that things look hopeful for ChocolateGentleman. |

Thanks. But since Alon was born in London, I always thought he'd be the Chocolate Lord, but he isn't all that into chocolate (more for me!). His passion is singing, actually. |

I'm not completely certain that everyone born in London is a lord...
Meant to add before - it's a shame that all that happened when he was Alon gway from home. |

Yes, but... if I'm a "Lady", then he'd have to be a "Lord", no?quote: Meant to add before - it's a shame that all that happened when he was Alon gway from home.
Hehehe. Strangly enough, I don't think we've ever heard that one. Well done!
