As you can see it arrived safe and well. And thanks for the explanation of pimpin'. I get it now.

Rap is something I know nothing whatsoever about.

Ok forget about rap music. Have you ever seen WWE wrestling? The Godfather? He's all about the Pimp.

Im guessing the word "Pimpin" means making it all flashy

I keep refreshing my screen, but I still see your previous penguin avatar. Is this the case with anyone else?

Never watched WWE wrestling.

I think 'pimp' as it's used here would be definition No. 7 at Urban Dictionary. I can honestly say I've never heard it used in that way, until today. No worries now though, as I have the appropriate penguin.

I pimped my block of cheese with wheels and an engine.

Sean, you're losing your street cred!

I'll happily remain ignorant about anything to do with rap, hip-hop or wrestling. Or pimpin'!

I must be retarded, but I don't get the topic. A pimp is a bloodsucking parasite who lives off the earnings of hookers, right? Or does it have another meaning that's being used here? And what's the significance of the word "big" here? Big what? A big pimp? Or a pimp doing a lot of pimping?

as the subject namer, i reckon' i have a responsibility to weigh in.
i'm kind of fascinated with the pimping lifestyle, not that i would ever be one. i could watch "The Mack" and some of the pimp documentaries out there over and over again.
a chosen avatar could reflect a lot of things. parasite? sure. gaudy clothes, cars, jewelry? yep. anybody who gets rich from another's work, without fair compenstion -- the NCAA, record companies. Jay-Z also had a song (the term "song" being open to interpretation by Sen) called "Big Pimpin'."
so, yes, pimp, in its strictest definition means making money from prostitutes, but, because of the extravagant lifestyle, it has come to mean doing almost anything to the level of excess, even gross excess: big pimpin'.
again, i'm fascinated by the gaudy lifestyle attached to pimps -- the clothes, cars, jewelry, women, snappy dialogue -- but it's NOT something i approve of or would ever be interested in doing.

I've found it "Pimp My Bush!" (no snickering, please). Somehow, I feel this should have been Mguyx's avatar.

That SO should have been my avatar!

For that alone, I'm going to remind you of the implications of "Pimp my Bush" for the next 10 years seconds!

Well, with this week's winner already taken, I thought I'd bring in Heidi Fleiss at the laundromat. If pimpin ain't easy, ex-pimpin ain't much easier.

[Which reminds me of a joke a friend of mine tells: a couple of young thugs are sitting at a bus bench complaining about how hard it is to hustle. One says to the other, "Pimpin ain't easy, dog." Just then a worn out prostitute comes walking around the corner, her stockings ripped, one shoe on, and the other in her hand as she rubs the one foot. She looks up incredulously and says "You think pimpin ain't easy? Try ho'in!"]
