One bar a day may well increase the death rate rather than reduce it, as dark chocolate is about 20% saturated fat.
Moderate use, maybe a bar a week, would be more sensible.

Well unfortunately, I don't qualify since I don't fit their "high risk" criteria on either count, but my sister does!
But thanks for thinking of me.
(Hey, don't they need a control group? If so, I'll be on the next plane.)
((As for the saturated fat issue - cocoa butter has been shown to have neutral if not beneficial effect on cholesterol levels, so as long as the chocolate is REAL, dark chocolate (i.e., no palm oil, or other bad saturated fats), there's no problem.))
