I am writing a project , not related to FWFR but would appreciate information from anyone who knows San Francisco.

One of the characters is a rich party girl , who is Japanese-American. She is 19 and a source of frustration to her uptight cousin , the CEO of a Corporation. She travels to Japan for a family trip and meets an english guy. Now read on....

Miki lives in San Francisco. Given that she is rich but wants to be near the nightlife , what would be a good area to base her in? i'm working from reference works so any local knowledge would be great to add detail.

Thanks for your help.

Too "dead-on" might be the Hotel Nikko, a luxury Japanese hotel right in town. She might also live outside the city, like in Sausalito or Tiburon, with Bay Area glamour and views but also privacy, then into the city whenever she wants. I'm assuming she's rich...

Thanks randall. The more I research this project , the more I want to go to San Francisco. Tiburon looks like a great place. I was going to put Miki somewhere in the Marina area but now i'm not sure!

One day i'm gonna drive the Pacific Coast Highway ( sigh )
