How awful. He was a fantastic actor and out was always great seeing him- his performance in "In the Name of the Father" was especially brilliant. I did think he looked unwell in "The Town" but thought no more about it. Very sad.

i'd been seeing PP in movies and been impressed with his work for years, in films including "Usual Suspects," "Romeo + Juliet" and finally made a point to learn his name after "The Town," -- an award-worthy performance i thought -- and then this. perhaps this seals at least an Oscar nomination.
