We all know that the movies have both used and generated vast numbers of songs, but there aren't that many (I think) that are specifically about going to the movies or the stars themselves. I've come up with the following list, but are there any more lurking out there?

Kissing in the back row - The Drifters
Saturday night at the movies - The Drifters
Candle in the wind - Elton John
Bette Davis eyes - Kim Carnes (my favourite from this lot)
Movie Star - Harpo
John Wayne is big leggy - Haysi Fantayzee
Cinema - Yes
Robert de Niro's waiting - Bananarama
Michael Caine - Madness

This is what I came up with, although some are only loose connections and others I'm ashamed to have known.

Not a direct reference, but I assume that this is a pun on Frank Sinatra.

What?!?! Have you forgotten about one of the best songs that Billy Joel has sung? It has movies and actors in the song. Why what song is it?

We Didn't Start The Fire

THe link takes you to the lyrics which has links to the stuff Billy is talking about.
