I don't think there's any doubt about that.

Maybe some of you are more knowledgable about earth science, but is this a symptom of global warming?

I read this morning that, bizarrely, Britain is the world's tornado hotspot (by area).

Sure doesn't look like Kansas to me, Toto.

(I heard that 70% of all tornados happen in the USA's great plains.)

My 5 year-old has a book on tornadoes and yes the most tonadoes happen in the so-called Tornado alley that is essentially Texas north to Canada - but th ebiggest tornadoes happen in Florida which also has a lot of tornadoes. I file this under the category of things I never knew until my 4-year old taught me about it while teaching him about it.

Well, thank goodness for that.

(I guess you just slipped out of the way.)

Whipper would like to report his near-miraculous escape from the tornado, being only about 10 miles away from the area at the time.

What a freak thing. My first thought was also to my fellow FWFRs in the area, and I hope everyone is okay.
