Leaping back into the London cinema discussion - I frequent the Ritzy in Brixton on a regular basis and the Prince Charles in Leicester Place occassionally and both show retrospective films, the former more than the latter, which tends just to recycle films that did really well previously (this month they've shown Old Boy, Amores Perros, Lost Highway for example, or you can always try Sing a long Sound of Music if that's your bag!). The Ritzy has got to be one of the best cinema's in London though. Practically every day they show European classics, recent foreign language releases, and every couple of weeks members (like me) get free screenings of new films too. Screen 1 is pretty big and good for the blockbusters too. Well worth checking out.

With all this London cinema visiting going on I'm surprised none of us meets up to see films, we all seem to know the same places. Perhaps we've all sat near each other before, quietly thinking in four words... |

Although I really enjoy going to the cinema, this site is foremost on my mind. In particular, at the moment, every film is one more towards getting one hundred into the above accolade!
In the circumstances, I cannot really splash out to see many non-Cineworld films now, but I do plan to see Barnyard in Peckham (where the multiplex is very cheap) in the morning.  |

| Hopefully, I have solved it. I am going to this at Clapham Picture House tonight. That's why I was asking about whether music videos counted. However, I was also there last night (to see the astonishingly explicit Shortbus), and I saw the full list. There must have been at least ten titles; I'll still add the music video(s) if I can, but if not, I should still make the 100. Otherwise, I might have had to pay to see Big Nothing and Deck the Halls, which are not being shown in central London Cineworlds. |

| The Future Shorts thing was really good. There were thirteen, so I am potentially up to 99 now. A couple of them were a bit pointless, but the rest were good, and some of those were excellent. |

I saw one film last night (though I did make sure I fitted in a job application first) and six(!) today, so I have now seen 93 excluding shorts and thus am going to try to hit 100 features. I had to see some dross though, and pay to see Big Nothing (although at least that was not as bad as I had been led to believe). (Plus I had to go to North London - never a nice experience.  ) I was going to see a seventh now, but the only thing available that I hadn't seen was Nightmare Before Christmas 3D, which would have been a bit steep at �11.95, especially as I don't have binocular vision. I was hoping to see Gabrielle or The Page Turner at Curzon Soho, but they seemed to have stopped showing Gabrielle and only showed The Page Turner this morning. Looks like there are at least a couple of good things to come this year, though. |

Well, on Saturday, but yep. Saw five from 10:00 to 7:30 and one more at 9:00.  |

| The mind boggles. I can, and frequently do, have the appetite for three in a row on one day, but more than that and I think my brain would mush. It also would explain why you're near to 100 films seen this year and I'm near 50 (my personal record). |

| I saw four two Saturdays ago and that was my previous record. Before that, I'm not sure I've seen more than two on any day this year. I would have really enjoyed it had they been good films, but I had already seen all the best things. |
