Well, I was going to wait to do the actual voting until 29 March. But, as you've all been so quick off the mark ... I'll wait until all the categories have been won. I'm sure I'll find something of yours to vote on!

For 40 votes: Script, Camera, Action!
I appeared in three films which starred their directors. Name them.

Certainly Love and Death which was directed and starred Woody Allen, but I couldn't find any others.

Ahem... are the other two Bill Melendez in The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe and Dick Deadeye, or Duty Done?

On the other hand, in the current climate, people may have significantly more reviews that you haven't previously seen by 29th March, giving you a better choice.

Just in case no-one else gets there, I'm trying to work out the 'tv one-off' for the Tim Curry question (I know the other two answers). What do you mean by a 'tv one-off'? Do you mean a variety show?

[It's been great fun 'researching' you by the way - you've had (and have) a very interesting life!!]

Thanks, Shiv ... by one-off I mean it isn't part of a series or serial.

Good luck, dude!

No, sweet CL, they're not. Only my voice appeared in those! BTW ... you're almost there!

I have the second one - Yentl - directed and starred Barbara Streisand!

And now to search for the third one.

I found The Naked Witch which was written and directed by Claude Alexander & Larry Buchanan, and Me and My Brother which was written and directed by Robert Frank but because he used Ginsberg poems, perhaps you mean Love and Death written and directed by Woody Allen. I also saw On a Paving Stone Mounted was written and directed by Thaddeus O'Sullivan.

Wait, I now see that What's Up Superdoc! was both directed and written by Derek Ford. That's four films where the director also wholely wrote the screenplay.

You're having me on, aren't you? There aren't three films where the director also starred - only two - Love and Death, and Yentl.

(If not, can't I just get half the votes for getting half the answer right?)

Hold on - did Robert Frank appear uncredited in Me and My Brother? Or doesn't that count because he didn't "star" in the movie he directed?

Nope.
As I said before, try looking in other places.

UNCLE!

I've googled you left, right and center and I cannot figure this one out to save my life, so I'm gonna have to give up. If someone else can discover the third film where the director also starred in the film, they can have the full 40 votes.

I'd hate to deprive you of these hard-earned votes so here's a hintlet:
try a different imdb page ... I assure you, it's there!
PS I was only in ONE version of The Naked Witch ... but that's not the director-y challenge. If ya still feel like pursuing the matter.
