One chocolate? But what happens when you eat it? Do you then have no chocolates? Or do you never eat the chocolate, which would then mean you don't eat chocolate with that mouth? Can you not have your chocolate and eat it too?

Oh no! All the chocolate makers in the world have been taken prisoner by aliens. There is no more chocolate. There will never be anymore chocolate. Quick, panic buy, panic buy!

I meant, I only have one mouth, you bozos!

And if you believe Bafta, may I suggest you all start with buying up Hershey's and Cadbury's.

(I'll worry about all the real chocolate makers.)

That reminds me of a story. I once went to a concert at Hershey Stadium in Hershey, Pa. The band came on and played and did the usual stuff bands do. After the first song the lead singer said "It's great to be in the place that makes great chocolate. Nestle Pennsylvania!" Needless to say....THe crowd, mostly from Hersey, Did not like that. He apologized and then the band played on with no mishaps.

But still. I love HErshey Park. The only place where they pipe in the smell of chocolate.

So what in your opinion is a good American Chocolate Company?

Russell Stover?
Whitman?
Ghirardelli?

Never heard of them.

I only eat bars these days, but from what I recall, they're fair.

Ghirardelli?
Not the worst on the block, and certainly as far as large US manufacturers go, they aren't bad at all. That their dark chocolates lack a bit in originality is a bit of a problem, but at least they don't taste bad - just a bit boring. This is probably because they don't look for particularly interesting cocoa beans to use in their chocolates.
